In any field, whether it be game testing, the entertainment industry, or any other field, when you get interviewed for a job it probably is going to cause you a little sweat. Unless ofcourse you’re not that excited about getting the job, like if you’re a insurance salesman or somthing awful like that (no offense if you sell insurance, I would just die on that job- and then the insurance money would get cashed in probably).

Anyway, the interviewer is always going to try to overpower you with questions and this sense of how you are totally helpless to his wrath because you are the one going for the job interview. But the truth is that you DO have some power.

You don’t have to act like a whipped puppy in front of its master who spanked it for being bad. If you meet at the person’s office or place of work, you might come across this interviewer with a desk in front of him. The trick here is to not become putty and intimidated because he has a desk and you dont. In fact what you do is TAKE HIS DESK.

Now, I’m not talking about physically taking his desk and lifting it with your super strength. But you definitely have to do something to avoide being a spine less wimp. So what you do is you scoot up onto the desk he has, and now you both have a desk because you share it, its no longer an intimidating environment.

The Where Do you See Yourself in 5 Years Interview Question- Your Response

Its not that interviewers like to F*** with you (well some of them do) but they will ask you questions like the above: Where Do you see yourself in 5 years?

Now this is a trick question because if you tell them something cocky or over ambitious they probably will cross you off the list. And if you tell them that you see yourself in the same entry level position as you are coming, then they’re going to think you’re challenging their intelligence or just plain sucking up to them.

*1* What you really want to say and make clear is that in a few years you see yourself realistically in a higher position, and you will talk about how you will do a great job and work really hard to raise in the ranks.

So you don’t just tell him that you will become his boss or anything stupid like that or he’ll probably kick you out. And you definitely don’t want to say you have no ambition whatsoever and that you don’t plan on moving up.

There you go, some solid advice for some hardcore questions that without this warning you may have messed up really bad. I hope this helped.
